FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your initial assessment will include full subjective and objective assessments. This will include asking a series of lifestyle and past medical history questions; you will then receive a full musculoskeletal assessment of the area of concern. This is to determine its severity and any underlying causes. A potential diagnosis will be made, and a therapy and exercise programme will then be created specific to you. You will receive an explanation of your injury and hands on treatment for the remainder of the appointment. You will be emailed an aftercare rehabilitation plan after the appointment if needed.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book online, text, E-mail or direct Message on facebook or Instagram. When contacting us please let us know your name, number, what it is your enquiring about and include a preferred date and time of your appointment to speed up the booking process. We are unable to take bookings via phone call at the moment. If it’s your first visit to the clinic you must book an initial assessment.

What should I wear?

Anything comfortable that allows full access and view to the injured area. If you are having treatment on your upper body you will be asked to remove your top. Women please don’t wear a sports bra as this can restrict access, a normal bra is fine. If you are having treatment on your legs you can bring shorts for comfort but it is not essential.

What should I bring to the appointment?

A list of current medication you are taking and recent results of scans you may have had.

How can I pay for the appointment?

You can pay via cash or card. Our card machine accepts contactless payments, Mastercard, Visa, American express, Union Pay, Discover, Diners Club and JCB.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, a £25 booking fee must be made prior to the appointment, this will be deducted off the total. If you cannot make your appointment but give more than 48 hours’ notice you can defer your booking fee to a new booking date and time once.

What is the cancellation policy?

You must give 48 hours’ notice for cancellations, if not you will lose the booking fee amount.

Can I have a sports massage if I don’t do sports?

YES! Of course you can. A sports massage is a deep tissue massage that can help reduce tension and soreness in your muscles, increase range of motion which will reduce your risk of injury. Studies also show that it lowers blood pressure and heart rate, encourages relaxation and relieves stress. Everybody can benefit as our muscles are constantly working throughout the day to complete even the simplest of tasks.

How long are the appointments?

We have an initial assessment which runs from 45-60minutes, 60 minute and 30 minutes appointments. If it is your first time visiting us, you must book an initial assessment to ensure you get the most out of the treatment. Following on from this it is up to you which time slot you book moving forward.

Are all your therapists qualified?

Yes. We can assure you all our therapists are fully qualified, maintain their governing body memberships and keep up to date with any continued professional education.

Can I use my private medical insurance to pay for my treatment?

Yes, you can claim on your insurance through most insurance companies, but we do not work with a small minority as they require a physiotherapist under a HCPC registration to carry out the treatment. Please check the terms and conditions of your policy and that they accept us before booking an appointment, we cannot be held accountable for rejected claims. If the insurance company declines any part of the payment, you will unfortunately be liable for the outstanding amount.
